When Cafe Coton opened it’s Dallas boutique Wednesday, Kim Cooley with Carpe Vita Photography was there to photograph the festivities. Owners Kelly and Bryan Rittenberry are past portrait clients of Carpe Vita Photography and we were so excited to document this new venture of theirs.

The store is conveniently located at the corner of Preston Road and Northwest Highway, right beside Orvis. Look between the two palm trees, and there they are. You will have check their awesome range of menswear out for yourself. Definitely what Dad wants Santa to bring this year.

Store Manager Michael Rittenberry with owners Bryan and Kelly Rittenberry.

Savvy Vodka from Austin, Texas was on hand for cocktails to tempt and whet the guest’s thirst.
Here’s a slideshow showing more of the festivities, please note there is music so you might want to adjust your volume.
To see all of the photos when they are released, please go here to register your email address. An email will be sent to you when the photos are ready for viewing.
Best wishes Cafe Coton – we know you have an awesome future in Dallas!

Sarah and Dave called yesterday afternoon as they were arriving back in Dallas from their honeymoon – they called from the airplane as it was taxiing in. We promised we would get some photos up on the blog super quick, so here you go.
Kim Cooley and Heather Gildroy of Carpe Vita Photography photographed the celebration which began with some quick photos at Hotel ZaZa, then off to Perkins Chapel at SMU, and back to Hotel ZaZa for the party.

Sarah surprised Dave with a Shelby Mustang drive by. How about that expression as he saw the car drive up! Car owner and president of SCAT (Shelby Cobra Association of Texas) Gary and lovely wife made a special trip out to the church with his beautiful Mustang so we could photograph the Wauson’s in and around the car.

The first dance.

Sarah is so stylish – don’t you love the awesome orchid she wore during the reception. All of the flowers came from Central Market, were the couple met and spend their days.

A little close-up of Sarah’s rings…

And some much deserved rest…

Here’s the slideshow… You have to check out the incredible Batman cake Dave had.
Friends and family who would like to see all of the photos, please click here and register to view the photos. You will need to know an event key which will be given in an upcoming email blast or you can ask Sarah and Dave, they know what it is.

Sarah and Dave were married on Saturday. We got a little busy and haven’t had a chance to post photos from their engagement session the previous week. So thought we would share some of those here before we get to some of the photos from the wedding. Aren’t they adorable?!?

The of course, there has to be a video slideshow…

Here’s a sneak peek of Jazmine’s Carpe Vita 2010 Crew Member session.
Jazmine’s session was a ton of fun. We started her at a hair and make-up session at Peyton Thomas Salon in Southlake and then we were off to downtown Dallas. We can’t tell you where we went because it’s a secret but the view was amazing.

Here’s a little more of the fun we had in this video slideshow.
We are now taking applications and photographing our Class of 2010 Carpe Vita Crew members.
What is a Carpe Vita Crew member? They are high school kids who help us spread the word about Carpe Vita Photography and our approach to unique senior portraits. Carpe Vita Crew members get the option of three sessions (one promotional session during their junior year, one senior session in June or July before their senior year and then one family session before they graduate if they like) for an incredibly low price. In turn crew members show off their photos and for each senior they refer to Carpe Vita that books their session with us, the crew member receives dollars off their photo purchases and points toward cool things like cash and even a laptop.
If you are interested or know someone who would be a great candidate for the Carpe Vita Crew member program, please let us know. Here’s a link to the Class of 2010 application. Just download the application, complete it, email it to us at info@carpevitaphotography.com and we will schedule a time to meet with you and a parent to review the program and sign the crew agreement.
