– andy austin in action

Posted by kim on 29th February 2008

We have to throw out some love to Andy Austin of Lite Dallas. These were taken at the Todd Party highlighted in the previous post. Andy is a true gentleman and lady’s man from what I have seen. He is a bundle of constant moving energy when he is entertaining or mastering the ceremonies of any of his events. He and Ryan Kelley have made lite light an essential compliment at any true party in the metroplex (and you know how much we love working with lite light).

Over the years, we have photographed Andy in quick group poses with lots of girls – we have to wonder if he doesn’t have a wall hidden somewhere that is plastered with photos of him and groups of beautiful women. But this was the first time we got to catch him in action on the dance floor. Just as an Olympic judging committee or sports commentator might break down a star athlete’s moves step by step, here we are able to share a little of what makes Andy Austin, Andy Austin with the ladies.

Check out the precision, the composed authority and he ends with great intensity.

Shari Johns of As You Wish Events (below), what a lovely lady you are and we hope you find this as fun as we do. To the spinning beauty above, we din’t catch your name but you rock!

Caught being cool! Is Andy Austin the next Fonz or James Bond? He can start magically start the perfect music like The Fonz could do by just hitting a random jukebox. But then one could say that he essentially has Bond Girls. You tell us. What we do know is he knows how to throw a great party and he always there when Steve needs a recommendation for a great local restaurant.

- annual todd party tops itself

Posted by kim on 27th February 2008

As visual artists, Steve and I love anything visually dynamic and exciting to the senses so of course we adore any opportunity to be thrilled. Todd Fiscus and his staff at Todd Events, Suite 206, The Apartment, Switch and Avant Garden pulled out all of the stops last week to heat up a 30 degree evening and to celebrate the beginning of another amazing year.

Here’s an idea of the valet parking line to the entrance.

In the main tent, there were elegant displays of florals and artwork to carry the evening’s theme.

The entertainment was as colorful and creative as the decor. When we find out who represents the entertainment, we will let you know with a link to their site.

We do know that Luana of The Center Stage Band and Encore Productions Entertainment helped provide the choir. We would have liked to see them in a little more action. The headliner for the evening was RuPaul and what a delight! Being right beside the stage, RuPaul’s height was staggering.

Here’s a slide show that shares so much more of the show including performers not seen here in the still photos.

Here’s a little video I found on YouTube of one of the songs RuPaul performed for us. Unfortunately for us, some times video translates so much better and this will give you a better idea of how great RuPaul is. Being a music video, this goes off on a different tangent but it is still fun to see all of the costume changes and the personality RuPaul evokes.

A sweet send off with a cup of hot tea to warm you on a cold night and a little evening snack was waiting in the valet returned car – gee Todd, you guys think of everything!te-gnite.jpgp.s. I think the tent city was provided by our friends over at Ducky Bob’s.te-tent-city.jpg

- christy and nick album draft

Posted by kim on 26th February 2008

Christy and Nick were married January 5th of this year. Click here to see the first draft of their wedding album design. What a sweet couple surrounded by love with a very promising future ahead of them.

This photo is being considered for the album cover.

Please let us know what you think of their design. Christy and Nick favor a more traditional feel so we kept to large photos and clean lines to tell their story.

- is less more in wedding album design?

Posted by kim on 15th February 2008

wppi-cover.jpg

This is an album design we recently entered into competition. It only skims the highlights of the day and focused mainly on Katie and Alan, our bride and groom. We are curious what you might think about it.

Less is more?

Or add some more?

Since we didn’t do a slide show yesterday, I figured we needed one today. Click here to be linked to the design.
