Christy and Nick are our first wedding of the year and they were blessed with an incredibly warm January day so we took advantage of the areas around Perkin’s Chapel to photograph them before their wedding.

Just married!

We made Nick kiss a lot!

They are off to the Hotel Adolphus for their reception…

Here a little slide show of Christy and Nick’s day – we hope you like it!
Since everyone has now seen Christy’s dress, we can share some of our favorite bridals of her.

These were done back in the summer when everything was very green, very humid and very warm. What a beauty, inside and out, Miss Christy is.

Family and friends of Christy and Nick, if you haven’t already pre-registered to see all of the couple’s photos, click here to do so now. Christy and Nick will be viewing all of their photos in about a week and then they will be releasing them to the public. You’ll want to make sure you are registered so an email goes to you when the photos are available for viewing.

This was the first year since Steve and I met that we didn’t spend New Year’s Eve together. As an earlier post shows, I (Kim) was photographing the Hotel ZaZa party while Steve was in Birmingham, AL photographing a wedding. Birmingham is where Steve is from and our hopes are to one day split our time between Dallas, Birmingham and working/traveling abroad and around the U.S. So what better way to move towards our goal than photographing more celebrations in Alabama.
Caroline and Scott had a lovely ceremony at her grandmother’s home. Here Caroline is catching her breath before getting ready.

Nancy helps Caroline with her most fashionable headpiece. We actually met Caroline when we photographed Nancy and Brad’s wedding in July 2007. Thanks Nancy and Brad for connecting us with Caroline and Scott, Steve loved photographing you two again so soon! We can’t wait for pregnancy portraits and new baby photo time…

Not to be outdone, Scott makes his own fashion statement.

Caroline’s dad was very busy, first he walked her down the aisle, then he presided over the nuptial rites.

Then they were off to the reception held at the Vulcan Park and Museum overlooking sparkling downtown Birmingham.

A glowing first dance. Have we mentioned how much we love lighting! It is perfect for any budget and adds such drama.

They danced the night away and rang in 2008 newly married!

Of course, we have to have a slide show… And all of the photos will be posted online soon – click here to pre-register so you will be notified when they are made public (to friends and family).

It is half way thru January and we are about to get caught up – just in time to go out of town.
Saturday, December 29th, we got to share the day with Katie and Alan with their friends and family. It was a crisp, bright, chilly day for their Perkins Chapel wedding.

Bella Flora did the exquisite florals and Kim from Kay Watson weddings kept everything moving extremely smoothly.

Katie and Alan were good sports to let us take them around Dallas for some fun shots before their reception. Thanks to David with Preferred Transportation who followed us around and kept the limo warm.

The reception was held at La Cima Club in Las Colinas and they hired a roving magician to entertain guests during the cocktail hour.

No sparklers for this couple, Katie and Alan surprised guests with a pyrotechnics display before they hopped in a gondola for a scenic escape.

Here’s a fun slide show with lots more photos from the day and guests will soon have access to all of the photos. If you are friends or family of Katie and Alan and you would like to preregister to see all of their photos – click here.

Paige and Adam came to see their wedding photos last night so friends and family of Paige and Adam their images should be released to you soon for your enjoyment. If you would like to help the couple out, you can pre-register to see the photos by clicking here and giving your information. This is Pictage our online posting service and when Paige and Adam release the photos, you will be sent an email.
We went ahead and did a pre-design of the couple’s wedding album to give them something to react to. We created two versions and would love your opinions as to which you like best. One version is the very detailed overview that tells the complete story of Paige and Adam’s day and the other is a more simplistic version that has fewer photos and is more about the couple. By the way, several of the spreads are the same.
The Detailed Wedding Album Design

The Simplistic Wedding Album Design

View them both and vote on which is your favorite by clicking on this link to a little poll. We look forward to hearing what everyone thinks.

Wherever you rung in the New Year, we hope you were warm, safe and having a blast!
Kim was at the Hotel ZaZa while Steve was photographing a wedding in Birmingham, Alabama (we’ll have some photos from that up soon).
But here are the long (four days later) awaited photos from the Heaven and Hell Party.
Guests passed thru the pearly gates down a very ZaZa red carpet.

Hell was held in the Uptown Ballroom…

Heaven was in the Urban Oasis – the angels everywhere were delicious.

It was a fun night all the way around and a great way to start 2008!

Here’s a slideshow with some more great previews – you can tell this was the place to be.
The slideshow shows about 185 photos – there are over 1100 online so if you don’t see yourself in the slideshow, don’t distress your photo is probably in with all the other photos posted for you to see, email to friends and purchase if you like. Click here to go where all of the photos can be seen. FYI, you will be asked to give your email address and assign yourself a password for your own privacy.
