A few weeks ago, we met with Brandy and Jake at their home in Ft. Worth to do some casual engagement photos. It was one of those Saturdays in October when it really feels like August and all you really want to do is watch football in the air conditioning. But Brandy and Jake were great sports and we got some awesome photographs.

Then we headed out for some photos around the Trinity.  What a happy dog!

We love the looks of love that take place between our brides and grooms.  What a special time!

Another awesome casual session at the Las Colinas Canals, this time with Meagan and Jesse who are getting married in August too.  Meagan was worried how she would be in front of the camera and we think she did terrifically especially with how crazy the wind was being.  Jesse has a great sense of humor and knows how to relax Meagan which is a recipe for success in any marriage.

Half way through the session, Meagan and Jesse changed into a little more formal outfits which was a nice bit of variety for some different looks.

Steve is the king at overhead shots – the angle on this tender, intimate moment is very nice.

We recently photographed Meagan’s bridal session in the air conditioned Four Seasons (where their wedding will take place in August) -
thank you Lord for air conditioning, a beautiful bride in elegant surroundings.  We’ll share Meagan’s bridals as soon as she and Jesse are married!
 

Now that the June weddings are done for Carpe Vita Photography, Kim and Steve Cooley have time to get caught up while looking forward to our upcoming August weddings. Allison and Ryan are a sweet couple that we met through the Adolphus Haute Weddings Bridal Fair last year.

Allison wanted waterfalls so we took them to Hawaii – ha, not really!

We have recently did Allison’s bridals which we can’t share until their wedding in August.  But they are a beautiful couple and we are really looking forward to their wedding.

While Angie and Edward were in Dallas for a wedding shower earlier this Spring, Kim and Steve Cooley of Carpe Vita Photography met up with them for a fun little session around a neighbor’s home.

Edward enjoyed the kissing portion of the session…

From this photo, the swan looks awesome but he was really speeding off to try and attack Steve for being near his territory.

Definitely a couple who enjoys spending time together which we love to see.

After Kacey’s bridal session in East Texas, Kim and Steve Cooley high-tailed it back to the metroplex and experienced a little wrath of the storm briefly mention in the previous entry.

We were stuck on the side of the road for awhile waiting out the major wind and rains.  But after the major storm passed, we called Katie and Jony to see if they might be interested in playing in the rain.  We have the best clients because they said sure and we met them in Ft. Worth at the Stockyards.

As we were finishing up, Katie lets us know that she would really love to get wet and do some photos but the rain had subsided a tad so we snuck into the rodeo which had just been let out and got these shots.

Unfortunately when we came out, there still no rain.  Not til we got home did it finally decide to rain some more.  Oh well, Katie, we promise we will photograph you two getting all wet one day.
