Allison braved the June heat for her bridal session at the Dallas Arboretum. What a beautiful trouper she was! There are so many great photos, it was hard to limit what to show…

Unfortunately, the water was bath tub temperature – not the cool refreshing we hoped it might me.

Have to finish up with a photo of Allison with her entourage – they are the ones who kept Allison cool and smilin for us for so long.

One of the hardest things about being wedding photographers is not being able to share the bridal portraits as soon as they are taken. Of course, we have to wait for the lovely bride to walk down the aisle but it isn’t usually easy. Meagan made her journey down the aisle Saturday, August 15th (where did the time go?) so now we can finally show off her beautiful portraits.
Meagan’s Carpe Vita Bridal Portrait session was in June around the Four Season Hotel in Las Colinas. We were all very excited to be photographing in the air conditioning around the lovely facility. Hair and Make-up for Miss Meagan is by Anita Haar of Elan Make-up and flowers by Timeless Fiori Florals from Meagan’s coordinators Timeless Elegance Weddings.
Here are some favorite:

Such a beauty.

We finished up with Meagan and her mom and aunt Debbie in one of the Four Season’s golf carts.

Next the wedding!

Oops! I just realized that we never did a blog entry for Katie and Jony’s wedding back in June and shame on us, we hadn’t shared any of her bridals either.
We did Katie’s bridal session back in April. Katie and Jony selected The Gaylord Texan as their venue for the wedding and celebration because many of their friends and family were coming from different parts of the world – including as far away as Australia – and the Gaylord specialized in that unique “Everything is big in Texas” feel. After having her hair and make-up done at the Relache Spa & Salon in the hotel we headed out to Grapevine to find one of the last remaining fields of bluebonnets.

Katie found that her boots we perfect for all aspects of her bridal session.

As mentioned before, everything is bigger in Texas, including the branding irons…

The ladies in our opinion are prettier too!

We finished up in the vineyard area of the hotel which is a part of Texas culture that lots of outsiders (makes me think of Lyle Lovett’s “That’s Right You’re Not from Texas”, “Texas wants you anyway”) aren’t aware of is our growing wine industry.

Now that Angie and Edward are married, we can unveil some of the bridal portraits we took of Angie at The Dallas Petroleum Club back in May.

Angie and Edward’s wedding took place in the Sky Lobby which is a much more contemporary area of the club and reflects Angie and Edward’s style. Whereas Angie’s mom Michelle appreciates the elegance of the club so we made sure we had appropriate options from both areas to satisfy everyone’s wants.

Angie was a great sport and let us play a little more even though she had had a long day with a commute from Austin plus her hair and make-up session before we ever started photographing.

Thanks Angie, we have really enjoyed working with you!

Now that Kacey and Chad are married, we can show off some of Kacey’s bridal portraits. What a wonderful adventure we had photographing Kacey throughout the Longview and Henderson area.
Our first stop was in Kilgore at the World’s Richest Acre. Chad’s grandfather Gene Powell and Gene’s brother “Bob” Powell are honored there and since Chad works in the oil business, this made a special stop with the Powell’s in mind.
Next, we went to a private home of some of Kacey’s family friends. Their staircase was lovely but it did not outshine Miss Kacey.

Luckily the breezes were in our favor for some awesome photographs with Kacey’s veil.

Kacey is a true Texas beauty and she was willing to try anything we asked.

This is the photograph Kacey and her family chose to display at the reception – isn’t she radiant?

Then we stopped in at her dad’s airplane hangar for a few photos on some of his favorites things.

You can see the afternoon storm a brewing. We were blessed that the weather held for us and we got a full session in before a drop of rain. This is looking back towards Dallas and Kim and Steve’s home.

Here’s the view looking East – enough to stop a major aircraft in it’s tracks!
